Writer’s Thesis – how he answers the “so what” and “who cares” questions.
Writer’s thesis – Far from being the one place on earth that stands apart from humanity, it is quite profoundly a human creation – indeed, the creation of very particular human cultures at very particular moments in human history.
The “so what” question seeks to know or determine the interpretive claim a person is making in their article. The author answers this question by offering a simple explanation of why he believes people need to rethink wilderness. When it comes to the “who cares” question, he makes use of credible sources depicting relevant people in history who showed interest in what he is tackling. This is not only a good tactic to make people interested but also one that endears an article to the readers.
