The Implications of Using Convenience Sample on Interpreting and Using Findings
The most common sampling method is the convenience sample; therefore, many of the studies that you find for evidence use this sampling method. What are the implications of using a convenience sample on the way that you interpret and use the findings? (assignment question)

Sampling
Convenience sampling is one of the most common methods used in research. Through convenience sampling, researchers can collect research data from readily available correspondents. Many researchers use the technique because it is convenient, prompt, and economical. While a convenience sample is preferred because of its simplicity and convenience, it has severe implications in the interpretations of data (Etikan et al., 2016). Moreover, the advantages apply to varying degrees, making it more challenging in certain studies.
When convenience samples are used, the generalizability of the data is more complicated. There is a lack of clarity on how the data can be generalized. The results in convenience samples have minimal scientific merit compared to other sampling techniques, such as probability sampling. Therefore, there is no representative outcome of the research when interpreting data. The feedback received is helpful from an individual standpoint and never presents information about an entire grou...
