Risk of Catheter-associated Nosocomial or Hospital-acquired Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)

The option I chose from the systemic review is readmission. My clinical question is once a catheter is put in place, can the clinicians keep the catheter system closed in order to postpone the onset of bacteriuria, and remove the catheter as soon as possible if there is no need to be in place. If the catheter can be removed before bacteria develops, this will becomes a great prevention. This can reduce the rate of nosocomial urinary tract infection (UTI). It is the most common infection acquired in both hospitals and nursing homes and is usually associated with catheterization.
This question is important to me because a lot of my admissions or re-admissions come to the facility from the hospital with urinary tract infection and the insertion of a catheter that is not because of a disease process. Therefore, I think that catheters should only be used for appropriate indications and should be removed as soon as they are no longer needed. According to the center of disease control and prevention, the most important risk factor for developing a catheter-associated UTI (CAUTI) is the prolonged use of the urinary catheter.one Project Milestone 1:
