Specifically, this stele was designed by creating a relief structure from a standing block of stone, which is typical of the kinds of artworks and sculptures during Ancient Greece. However, what is most interesting in this piece of art is the use of symbolism which might not be noticeable at first sight. As discussed in the video, the stele has two distinct regions, the left and right, that shows the organized and marching armies of Naram-Sin in the left while their vanquished and chaotic enemies are on the right.
