In nursing practice, accurate identification and application of research is essential to achieving successful outcomes. The ability to articulate research data and summarize relevant content supports the student's ability to further develop and synthesize the assignments that constitute the components of the capstone project.
The assignment will be used to develop a written implementation plan.
For this assignment, provide a synopsis of the review of the research literature. Using the "Literature Evaluation Table," determine the level and strength of the evidence for each of the eight research articles you have selected. The articles should be current (within the last 5 years) and closely relate to the PICOT question developed earlier in this course. The articles may include quantitative research, descriptive analyses, longitudinal studies, or meta-analysis articles. A systematic review may be used to provide background information for the purpose or problem identified in the proposed capstone project.
While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center.

Depression is a critical public health issue that affects people from both developed and developing countries and it affects millions of individuals across the world. The prevalence of depression among Adults in the United States is approximately 7.1 percent which is equivalent to 17.3 million adults who have at least one major depressive episode. The World health organization reports that both moderate, severe and long-lasting depression may become a serious condition and this necessitates implementation of effective methods that are effective in managing depression. Besides, the late life depression is associated with various increased risks which include suicide, decreased physical and cognitive functioning and may also cause self-neglect and increase mortality rates.
Implementation of non-pharmacological interventions in healthcare to help in controlling and managing depression among adults in rehabilitation center. Researcher have asserted that exercises can help in treating moderate depression more effectively as antidepressants medication. Besides, taking part in regular and intense physical activities can help in changing one’s moods, thoughts and may also influence negative thinking. Nurses and other practitioners in a healthcare facility may help patients to develop individualized exercise programs that meets one’s mental health needs. Participating in exercises impacts the medical condition differently; for example, it reduces inflammation, promotes feelings of calm and well-being. Induvial are required to have at least 150 minutes per week to participate in intense exercises and this makes it possible to break the cycle of negative thoughts that feed depression.
