Firstly, choosing whole grain bread since refined bread is associated with different health problems, and it does not add energy to the body. There are benefits of including whole-grain food in the diet; for example, it reduces the chances of type two diabetes. Whole foods provide a comprehensive source of vitamins and fiber; some minerals found in whole food grains include Zinc and magnesium, which are essential in the body. It is also crucial to read the labels before buying whole grains foods to ensure you do not pick the wrong one. Secondly, I would add yogurt to my diet, and in this case, I would go for creamier yogurt since it is rich in proteins it contains more than 70 grams of proteins which is essential in the body's immune system (Hackett, 138-141).
