The double-edged feature of contemporary technology is apparent in the balanced nature of both risks and opportunities and one can acknowledge that this is evident cyberbullying, a societal problem. This problem occurs in the digital realm via social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook where people attack others using unkind words and graphics. Cyberbullying is a significant cause for physical, emotional, and psychological stress. The victims are more likely to experience depression and anxiety. The grave dangers of cyberbullying demand a counter-measure to minimize its prevalence in society. Moreover, it is equally necessary that the solution is regularly evaluated to guarantee that it meets the intended objectives. Education programs are a major channel that can convey the necessary information to the audience and in this course, the related professionals can articulate the best measures to which they can evaluate the results of the programs.
Education programs facilitate the transmission of knowledge from professionals to the audience. They may not necessarily need it but it is essential because they may need it in the future. Professionals in the field including law enforcers, psychologist, social workers, and educators have an undaunted responsibility to focus on prevention programs that address and curb cyber bullying. On the other hand, the audience comprises of learners, family, and society. The teamwork approach is highly encouraged because it involves a larger group of people and in this environment, people can easily share their predicaments and solutions sought.
