Most new restaurants begin their operations with more focus and dream to achieve high market share. These three activity combinations often attract more customers who think that the new restaurant would maintain their good marketing approaches. However, as evident in the Down City restaurant scenario, top-notch services often fade by time followed by the introduction of poor leadership in most restaurant premises. This consultant case study report includes a detailed explanation of the problems faced by Down City, causes of such problems, appropriate solutions and recommendations to correct the mess in the restaurant. It is an essential report that focuses on the importance of effective business management and leadership.
Background
Down City restaurant is a partnership business owned by both Abby and Rico. They all started the restaurant business with clear goals and dreams of making it the best in the city. The two business partners purchased the business jointly and agreed that Abby would work full time in the restaurant as Rico maintained his day job. Rico, however, helps in few business errands too.
