She nightly knocks for many a goal The usual dancing men. Her speed is great, but her control Is something else again. All spotlights focus on her pranks. All tongues her prowess herald. For which she well may render thanks To God and Scott Fitzgerald.

Step Two: Write a well-developed paragraph.
How did popular culture impact women? It shed light on women's role in society. It empowered women to stand up for their rights, change the gendered roles ascribed by society, and engage in activities that were socially set aside for men. For instance, the flapper lifestyle embraced by women in the 1920s enabled them to cut barriers to political, economic, and sexual freedom. Women were able to dress in accordance with their taste (short hair, short skirts), drive cars, listen to jazz music, and enroll in jobs that were initially men-dominated. Indeed, pop culture shaped the attitudes and affected public opinion, especially in regard to women. It gave women a voice and enhanced gender equality in society.
