The United States imports many products, including food, drugs, cosmetics, and raw ingredients from China. Some of the products do not have the information about their production or any label for the safety of the consumers (Caroline, 2007). U.S. retailers that utilize products or raw ingredients imported from China and poorly regulated should be liable and responsible for any injuries to consumers who are harmed by those products. If any consumer develops a complication after consuming the products from the companies importing their ingredients and goods from china, the consumer has a right to prosecute the company. After a consumer gets sick when the product is not labeled, he will go first to the retailer (Caroline, 2007). The retailers have to ensure that the products they import have been labeled and inspected seriously for the consumers' safety.
