For this assignment, you will need to write a literature review of sources related to the topics covered in your assignments regarding the Rogers Engineering and Manufacturing (REM) Case Study Scenarios. Be sure to evaluate your sources to make sure they are appropriate quality (peer-reviewed academic journals) and relevant to the topic. This assignment practices bringing together your research preparation and supporting your research study. Developing these skills is essential in the dissertation phase.
Review the articles you have critiqued or cited for your assignments from the past six units as well as new research articles that cover corporate social responsibility.
Formulate a review of the literature regarding ethical issues in organizations, using a minimum of six sources. At least one of the articles must cover the topic of this unit, which is corporate social responsibility. While you are reviewing many of the same sources from previous assignments, do not simply copy your critique or verbiage from those assignments. All literature review material for this assignment should be new.
Be sure to explain why each source was selected and how it is of value to the topic. Do not use sources over 5 years old.
In discussing the literature sources, compare and contrast the findings and any gaps in the research that may lead to additional research.
Your literature review should be a minimum of three pages in length, not counting the title page and references page. All sources used must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. All references and citations used must be in APA style.

Business ethics plays a significant role in enhancing the image of an organization; generally ethics is the foundation of success of a firm. Therefore, business ethics should be observed from the time an organization becomes operational. The issue of ethics in business has received much attention since it affects all aspects of the organization. Actions of an employee affect both the individual and organization. Employees who act ethically and responsibly help the organization in achieving its overall objective.

The author of this article investigates the role of corporate accountability reporting in the protection of a firm’s value. The primary objective of this article was to establish whether corporate accountability reporting is effective in preventing the occurrence of various misconducts such as discrimination, bribery and many more. Additionally, the author aimed at exploring whether prior corporate accountability reporting reduces the effects of high-profile misconducts. The author uses multiple methods to address the issue and finds out that firms that firms that it is less likely for firms that report on their corporate accountability activities to engage in various misconducts. This demonstrates that corporate accountability reporting helps businesses manage their operations effectively. Additionally, the author finds out that in case misconducts occur in firms, issuing corporate accountability reports helps in reducing the effects to minimal. Therefore, this article is important for the paper since it highlights one of the controls of unethical issues in organizations.

In this paper, the author analyzes corruption in international business and presents a critical assessment of the issue. The author does a great work in providing a critical overview of the issue by reviewing the definition of corruption, causes, impact and controls as well as proposes various possible extensions that will help in expanding the available literature. In order to extend the research on corruption, the author suggests that researchers should analyze the various types, differences between perceptions across countries; analyzing the willingness and ability of employee to ask or provide a bribe and their ability to reject the offer; impact of corruption on the performance of the organization; and controls of corruption at the firm and regional level. This article is important for this paper because it explains REM’s case in details. REM employees engaged in an unethical issue by giving out what we can term a bribe in order to get a contract. On the other hand, employees of the client organization asked for a bribe for REM to receive the contract. Therefore, this article plays a significant light in providing more insights into the issue.
