Guideline for the Final Paper Proposal (Due date on 11/1)

2.     Topic- Company case study

Please choose a topic from the attached topic list. You are supposed to choose ONE topic.

3.     Format for Proposal

-        One-page writing (up to 450 words counts)

-         Please follow APA writing style (refer 7 edition)

-        12 Font size, Double space

4.     Contents for proposal

You will analyze a company that you have chosen with the theoretical approaches on an organizational theory basis. Please see the below contents of the proposal.

-        Introduction

: State a brief reason why you chose the topic.

: state which business cases you are going to study in the paper. 

: state which organizational theories you are going to apply to your research

-        Method/Framework

: State how you are going to study your research topic. Think about which analytical methods (i.e., interviews, surveys, data analysis that you are going to use

1.            Leadership Styles and Employee Performance:

Analyze actual business cases where a change in leadership style positively or negatively impacted employee performance. Apply leadership theories from Ch 12.

2.            Motivation and Job Satisfaction:

Evaluate actual business case where employee motivation and job satisfaction played a significant role in the success or failure of a project or initiative. Apply motivation theories from Ch8 and Ch9.

3.            Conflict Resolution and Team Dynamics:

Discuss a scenario or analyze actual business cases where team conflicts hindered productivity and identify the strategies used to resolve these conflicts. Explore theories related to conflict resolution, team dynamics, and negotiations. Please refer Ch  10, Ch11, and 14.

4.            Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace:

Investigate a case where a company either successfully promoted diversity and inclusion or faced challenges in this area. Utilize theories from Ch 2, Ch3, and Ch4.

5.            Organizational Communication and Decision-Making:

Analyze a situation where communication breakdowns led to decision-making problems within an organization. Apply theories from Ch9, Ch10, and Ch11.

6.            Power and Influence in Leadership:

Examine a case where leaders effectively or ineffectively used power and influence to achieve their goals. Discuss theories of power and influence from Ch5, Ch12, Ch13, and Ch14.
