The Pre-Intervention Survey Collected Demographic Data
A pre-post survey was used to establish the effects of a 15-minute uninterrupted use of the recharge room on the stress levels of healthcare staff in an acute medical-surgical unit. The pre-intervention survey collected demographic data such as the age, gender, and marital status of the respondent, as well as the staff-patient ratio during the night shift. In addition, the pre-intervention survey collected data on the respondents’ blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels. In the post-intervention survey, the respondents provided information about their blood pressure, heart rate, and stress levels. They were also asked whether the room helped reduce their work-related stress and whether they would recommend the intervention to a colleague or friend.
The respondents were asked to rate their blood pressure and heart rate in six and five groups, respectively, and the pre-post results are shown in figures 1 and 2. They also rated their stress level pre- and post-intervention on a 4-point Likert scale, with 1 representing not stressed at all through 4 representing extremely stressed. The results are shown in figure 3.

Blood Pressure
Pre-intervention, about 19 respondents had normal blood pressure levels (100/70 to 120/80). Post-intervention, this number increased to 29. In addition, the total number of respondents with blood pressure higher than 120/80 was 34 in the pre-intervention and 14 in the post-intervention. However, the number of respondents with blood pressure lower than 100/70 remained ...
