When their eyes are closed and they are concentrating, say "dog." Then ask them to describe the dog they see. What does this exercise tell you?
Chapter7. Who has a voice that you really like? Who has a voice that you really dislike? What is it that you like about the one and dislike about the other? (50-100 words)
I like listening to my mother's voice, because my mother's voice always gives me a gentle feeling and makes me think what she said makes sense, and I would love to listen to what she said. I don't like to listen to my uncle's voice. His voice feels very serious and stressful. If I sit next to him and listen to him, I will be nervous, and I can’t even concentrate on what he said。
When I listen to myself on a tape recorder, it seems that my voice is different from what I expect it to be. I would say that if a stranger listened to my voice, he or she would say that I have a powerful delivery and strong voice. The timber of my voice is balanced and it is slightly high-pitched.

I have experienced living in an area with lots of non-native English speakers. Their pronunciation is tainted with the accent from their culture and language and they do not speak English as well as native speakers. Some words that I have encountered that are pronounced differently are lawyer, wherein some pronounce is the word "lawyer" in such a way that the first syllable rhymes with "boy, envelope, wherein people pronounce the first syllable like "dawn." and Grocery pronounced by most as “Gro-sir-ees” but in my area the 'ir' sound with an 'sh', pronounced as grosh-rees instead.
Chapter3. Describe a person you have known who has a communication "disorder.
One person I know has a stutter. He sometimes unexpectedly stutters especially when he is under a lot of pressure. He is not able to articulate his words well and he is challenged when it comes to long sentences. However, he is still able to communicate well as long as he is given the time to say what he needs to say. Communicating with him requires patience and understanding about his condition
