ABSTRACT
The purpose of this project is to inform and prepare new students at the University at Buffalo on how to best prepare for the field of finance. The finance field is advancing at a high rate in terms of technology and professionalism. Finance areas such as accounting, structured finance, and finance corporations are areas that require technical skills that ensure efficiency during work. As a finance student, I came up with a way on how I can get essential skills from various professionals in the finance field. I conducted interviews with 4 finance professionals, with one being my brother who is a finance professional. I explored their various perspectives on what facilitates advancement in this field. The interviews included members from the banking sector, heads of finance in recognized companies, and institutions.
