My Career Action Plan
A business management major, I have great expectations in business and beyond. I plan to return to China after graduation to start a new business, probably a sit-down restaurant or grab-and-go cafe. To do so, I have four major goals:
1 Enhance business knowledge;
2 Enhance practical knowledge;
3 Enhance business skills; and
4 Expand contacts.
To be achieved, I will need 2 learning experiences, 2 necessary work experiences, and 2 professional experiences.
* Two Learning Experiences. I aim for a combination of formal and informal learning opportunities. The formal learning experience could be a week/month long course in order to enhance one or more areas in business management. The informal learning experience could be, among many examples, a self-paced massive open online course (MOOOC), webinar and/or business-related interactive forums or blogs.
* Two Work Experiences. I aim for a diversified exposure to business management. This requires one work experience at a startup in order to gain insights, among a small number of co-workers/collaborators, into business operations, growth and management at small scale.
