Dai et al.’s “Heat Shock Factor 1 Is a Powerful Multifaceted Modifier of Carcinogenesis” focuses on whether heat shock factor 1 (HSF1) contributes to the formation or suppression of tumorigenesis. In particular, environmental changes facilitate the adaptive physiological responses that help animals cope with certain stressors (Dai et al. 1006).
