1. Sensational Headlines – The video has a catchy title which does not reflect a generalization of reality.
For this problem, the researchers or rather, posters, should have used a more neutral title which does not paint the perspective of the viewers.
2. Misinterpreted Results - This sensational video creates an imperfect representation of what truly transpires in New York regarding catcalling and women.This problem arises in how the content of the video was interpreted or framed. It seems that the video was used in order to show the instances of catcalling and how normal or frequent it was for certain areas. However, this does not necessarily provide the statistical impression to show that New York is unsafe for women 3. Unsupported Conclusions – The message of the video sort of creates a scary vibe for women who walk in New York.
