In the modern times, fake news is a common phenomenon around the globe and this leads to propagating misinformation via social media. The fake news emanates from misrepresentation of scientific facts as well as fiction posted on fake websites to get clicks from the viewers. Fake news poses a real challenge to the society as it leads to the society members making wrong decisions based on the wrong facts provided by the media and this negatively affects the overall democratic system globally. However, various technical solutions have been developed globally to establish the truth concerning any piece of information posted on social media. One of the technical solutions to establish fake news is fact-checking and content verification. This involves content verification and rumor analysis these help in counter subjectivity, post-truth politics, misinformation, and propaganda [1]. The solution aims at exposing any misinformation to the general public through the use of social media. The solution further aims at encouraging the members of the public to pursue the accuracy and veracity of a given piece of information posted on social media.
