When quoting, make sure that the quotation is relevant to your topic (Davis, 2011). Then proceed to copy the phrase or sentence in the exact way it appears in the source. Mark the quote with quotation marks and provide an in-text citation after the closing quotation mark. When including a quote, make sure that all the symbols used in the original wording are reproduced in the same way (Davis, 2011). Avoid detaching the quotation from the surrounding sentences. Make sure the reader has an easy time reading before and after the quotation. When you choose to delete or add words to a quotation, make sure that your changes do not distort the intended meaning.
