Blog Learning Journal Assignment:
Follow your blog regularly during the period of time between journal entries. Your learning journal discussion should convey the following:
1. What topics were discussed on your blog during the time period? Identify both the topics, important information presented, and what you learned.
2. How do these topics relate to human capital management? Identify and explain where the information presented on your blog falls within the SHRM competencies for HR practitioners. Where is it covered in your textbook (chapter and section).
3. How will this information help you to become a better human capital practitioner?

Pursuing any degree requires a lot of time and commitment. Choosing HR management as a Career will equip the learner with a wide range of skills and responsibilities. As an HR manager, it means working with people, interviewing, hiring, training, communicating, educating, supporting, and sometimes firing employees.
The main responsibility will include working with employees and monitoring to promote the culture and values while improving the organization's overall performance. Other key requirements will consist of regulating salaries, provide adequate information, select and guide new employees, encourage the workforce with bonuses, and making sure that the workforce is comfortable working for the organization.
