Should government sponsor the Arts?
Throughout the history of mankind, arts has been one of the things which helped humans express what it is while learning from it in the process. I believe that in all aspects of life, art plays an important role in terms of learning and removing it or making a move that would remove it from our reach would not be beneficial for any of us. Following from this, I believe that it would be best if the government would sponsor the arts, but with a compromise. What I mean is that the government should provide that ‘appropriate’ funding for types of arts which are worth the buck. An example of the types of art which should be funded by the government are those which presents a stark representation of our own culture, so that it would not be lost in time. Usually, these types of art (e.g. museum displays) which are considered ‘common’ are usually not given attention ...
