For the glory that they bring to their schools, they are loved by all, fellow students, staff, parents, and the general community. However, what seems to be silently overlooked is the immense pressure that they go behind the scenes to achieve the glory. First, they must achieve academically in order to retain their position in the teams. This presents one of the biggest challenges that student-athletes face. They must compete with the other students, albeit on a tighter schedule. On top of the practice sessions, retreats, and competitions, they have to find a way to prioritize academics.
