A closer look at Aristotle’s Generation of Animals exemplifies his thoughts on reproduction and how life comes to into existence. Like most of Aristotle’s books, the date written is not known, but the knowledge conveyed is relevant for years to come. Aristotle’s philosophical approach involves understanding and analyzing why things exist. In doing this, he breaks down these causes into four groups formal, material, final, and efficient purpose just like Deutsch models. Equally, book 1 begins with a general discussion of femininity and masculinity. Aristotle posits that for a generation to come into existence, both parties are indispensable. In his word, the gender of a person describes the vessel which the being exists. Additionally, the author recounts the different reasons behind reproductive organs and shapes. Chapters 7 to 11 include an explanation of eggs and uteri anatomy. The basis of Aristotle’s research is observation since science and technology were not applicable at that time. For that reason, the philosopher left behind various unresolved questions for experts in the reproductive system. The questions were imperative in creating a viable framework. Accordingly, Aristotle postulates that the soul and body are one and is essential in separating animals from plants. Aristotle describes more about the body in his book “Theory of bodies.” The central notion behind this book is that the body is a continuous magnitude that is bound by a surface. In natural philosophy, an organization has a boundary that separates it from the surrounding environment, thus making it crucial in his theories. Aristotle avers that the body falls in the quantity of category, and his framework supports this notion.
