The stakeholder chosen for this project is caregivers. According to (Paidipati et al. 90), students with ADHD often rely on caregivers for symptom identification and essential activities related to the treatment and management of the condition. However, significant research shows that despite numerous effective treatments for the disease, many children, adolescents, and youths with ADHD do not receive adequate treatment and care services, mainly due to their own and their families or parents' negative health-seeking behavior. On the other hand, various factors influence patients’ and parents'/families' help-seeking behavior, including knowledge and misconceptions of the causes and treatment of ADHD (Sciutto, 1). These misconceptions primarily result from the reliance on often unreliable and misleading sources of information for ADHD, such as the internet and social media. Consequently, besides treating and managing ADHD, professional caregivers have a role in eradicating these misconceptions, myths, and misperceptions through effective ADHD educational and awareness interventions (Rajcumar et al., p.5). Therefore, caregivers should plan effective interventions for ADHD education for students and parents/families to mitigate the misconceptions for improved management and treatment of ADHD.

Consequently, as professional caregivers, their primary role, besides promoting the treatment and management of ADHD, is to address the misinformation that contributes to these misconceptions to enhance students' and families' or parents' health-seeking behavior and hence achieve better health outcomes. Several studies have demonstrated the negative impacts of ADHD among students, including hyperactivity and inattention, among other impulsive interferences that lower the quality of social, academic, and occupational functioning. On the other hand, (Sciutto,1) shows that the ADHD knowledge and misconceptions of students and parents, who in most cases act as their primary caregivers, negatively affect students' access to adequate care, management, and outcomes. Therefore, the study investigates the sources of the knowledge and misconceptions of ADHD treatment and causes and their influence on parents' health or help-seeking behavior and, by extension, students. Consequently, the study’s findings show that the primary sources of ADHD information are social networks, the internet, and other media sources, followed by healthcare professionals and school personnel (Sciutto, p.5). Generally, this reliance on the internet for ADHD information is problematic since there are many credible and informative sources. However, they can also contain significant disinformation regarding ADHD and other medical-related conditions.
Therefore, misinformation significantly contributes to the misconceptions and, consequently, treatment acceptability for ADHD. Notably, many parents, families, and patients rely on the often inaccurate sources for ADHD information which contributes to the m...
