In the first listening activity, I was normally stressed, but had concerns about meeting deadlines in my course as I had been busy throughout the week. While I was not overwhelmed, I felt that planning alone was not enough, and I participated in the listening session even as everyone has different tastes in music, the slow tempo and melodies were most relaxing. Similarly, the singer’s message, choice of words and instruments affected how I felt about the music during relaxation. “Strawberry Swing” by the band Coldplay was relaxing and listened while lying down with my eyes closed and was not distracted while listening to the song.
