The quality of sound in the music industry has been a topic of main concern. Before technology took center stage three decade ago, most of the music fans did not have the right media that they could conveniently use for the preservation of music in their homes. The most probable option was audio cassettes since, music could be played in other places where the static vinyl disc turntables could not be used. Despite all these, tapes had some problems such as mechanical failures, real-time rewind and in their reproduction at Sony Records. This was however, not the last resolution to the convenience that music lovers had. After some possible research work, technology in the production of music improved. From this documentary, I would go for a few high quality audios to be used in doors and many low quality files as I go about my daily routine life because of the degree of convenience that they offer.
The compressed versions of music like the MP3s and other compressed options have expedited proper storage of music and done away with the problem of music quality being compromised. For the listeners who are interested in the perfectness of the music, audio tapes are the best option. The compressed version of the music in a file, is less stimulating and pleasurable compared to the hi-fi and audio cassette 3 decades ago.
