Situation crime prevention is a strategy used to address specific crimes or insurgent activity, using the twenty-five techniques of situational prevention chart category step 25; I choose control of drug and alcohol for this discussion. The subheading states "breathalyzers in pubs, server intervention and alcohol-free events (Center for Problem-Oriented Policing, 2013). It is a fact that many people usually drive under the influence of alcohol, which is illegal and dangerous. People who drink under the influence of alcohol assume that they can drive despite drinking over the legal drinking limit.
The appropriate solution in this case, is to install breathalyzers in all cars to limit accident related to drunk driving. This solution is currently being implemented for individuals who already had DUIs and their licenses taken away for a period (Center for Problem-Oriented Policing, 2013).
