Community psychology does not only focus on social issues but also cultural, economic, political, and environmental that have a collective influence to the individual, groups as well as organizations. Community psychology has various aspects that are relevant to the community (Introducing Community Psychology, n.d.). It enhances a better understanding of goals, values, and intervention methods of the community. The above elements come from related disciplines in the community, such as mental health and social psychology.
Community psychology helps in the achievements of environmental, cultural as well as societal influences on the well-being of the entire community. It fosters particular aspects according to the related surrounding of the community. The field of community psychology determines the different ranks of contexts that facilitate the growth and development of people. It depicts various strategies that enable the fostering of setting that enhances healthy development in the community. It identifies the appropriate ways for assessing and being responsive to the diverse necessity of people, which can include ethnic platforms and socio-cultural and educational requirements. It directs people on various abilities, lifetime goals, and specific objectives. Besides, it helps people to acquire knowledge of the community psychology profession to develop a society that is fair and just.

A sense of community is an essential core value that drives community psychology. It entails perceptions of people with their mutual collective unity at the community level. Sense of the community serves as a sanction of the community that promotes social support and clinical work in the safeguard for the health of people.
