Abnormal psychology is a significantly interesting topic and one that requires consistent research and exploration. This is because it is a field that is constantly changing and developing in ways that provide new knowledge on some of the psychological problems that individuals face. Because of this, it is important to ensure that one remains abreast with the changes in the industry and understand how these changes affect their clinical understanding of abnormal psychology and how it influences the lives of individuals. One of the most common problems in abnormal psychology is depression. Understanding depression has become a significantly difficult challenge. This is because it is not only different among patients, but also has different triggers for different people. Nonetheless, it is important to acknowledge the abnormality of depression in so far human psychological wellness is concerned.
While depression may be difficult to fully understand, some of its impacts are abundantly clear. This is why many experts have devoted their careers to understanding the various impacts of depression on the lives of people as well as if, and how, depression may cause other diseases. Considering I am passionate about this issue, I started my research for this topic by researching abnormal psychological behaviors. Once I had fully settled on depression, I chose to read up on its origins and clinical implications on patients. I became particularly interested in some of the other potential illnesses that depression may cause, in this prompted me to further explore this issue.
