Labor relations system refers to the set rules or interactions concerning work relations that are formed between the government, workers and or their representatives. The systems of relations in the private sector and public sector are often seen as similar however substantial differences exist between the two sectors. Mostly, the labor system in the private sector is controlled by internal competition which is unseen in the public sector. Secondly, unlike the public sector, there is little government involvement apart from indirect legislation and enforcement of rules in the private sector. The private sector is also more embracive of collective bargaining and unionism since the two concepts were first developed in the sector than in the public sector.
