Nature or nurture? This question has been asked countless of times when talking about child development. Nature, or genetic, factors are often out of control. But the environment a child lives in can be adjusted or, at least, tweaked.
Before going further into the factors that can affect a child’s development and learning, let us first look at the domains of child development.
Child Development Domains
There are five major domains of child development. These domains can, of course, be broken down into more specific domains. ( CITATION Lig18 \l 13321 (Lightfoot, Cole, & Cole, 2018)p.53) But for our purposes, the five major domains will suffice.
