Tesla Motor’s main strategy involves the diversification of their product line, expansion of their business around the world, and the construction of plants producing batteries for their cars. While these strategies had been effective due to the rising environmental consciousness and the decrease in supply of oil, economic forces have made it difficult for the company to generate sufficient amount of profits. Accordingly, some of these economic forces includes the increase in number of competitors and the decrease in price in oil. Thus, in order for Tesla Motors to continue improving their profitability, they must be able to produce electric cars that are efficient and more affordable than their counterparts.
