End-Users play an essential role in determining the success of Health Information Systems(HIS). Understanding their needs is vital as it helps in their participation in the development once the requirements are fulfilled. It also helps in the achievement of the objectives of health care, like providing better care after needs are addressed. Comprehending the needs also enables support for a better system. Their needs explain specific trends in healthcare and solve problems to provide better working conditions. The expectations of end-users, once fulfilled, bring satisfaction and outstanding results in designing the system (Eslami, Firoozabadi, & Homayounvala, 2018). Looking into their expectations brings along motivation in their work roles to see to the attainment of an effective system. For instance, it will help me realize if training is needed during the incorporation of the new system. Training the end-users gives them the experience to enable the maximization of the usability of the system. The practical system usability allows the end-users to achieve their goals providing a better healthcare system. Their expectations aim at deciding the design of the system suitable for use to support ideas to produce unexpected results and appreciation of the system due to participation in decision-making.
The success of health information systems depends on end-user input in designing the system. The end-users know best what they require, and their involvement in developing the system makes them value it.
