In Free Speech at Risk, Alan Greenblatt opposes the fading freedom of expression, claiming that it can create restlessness and feelings of hatred in one’s heart. He further says that governments around the world have weakened free-speech protections because they are concerned about the safety and security of people (Greenblatt, 2013). I feel that one should have the right to speak of his mind. While freedom of speech is one of the fundamental rights of human beings, raising voices against the government can cause various problems. For example, if minorities are allowed to deliver religious speeches without any restriction, they may oppose other religions and eventually lead to restlessness in the entire state (Norton, 2017).
