Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate social responsibility (CSR) aims to maximize the advantages to an organization’s stakeholders while simultaneously preventing or reducing the negative repercussions of its operations. As a result, CSR covers a wide variety of issues that must be considered in business activities. Working conditions, civil rights, anti-corruption efforts, the environment, corporate accountability, equal rights, professional inclusion, consumer protection, and taxation are all factors to consider. First, this paper explores the Coca-Cola example in India, describing the underlying CSR issue and the laws that impacted stakeholders and business process implications. Next, the paper discusses the Coca-Cola Company’s behavior and the political, cultural, economic, and social environments that contribute to the case’s issues. The remainder of the report looks into the various resolution possibilities, including descriptions of their impact on the various stakeholders. Finally, I give a persuasive case for the choice that I believe best addresses the issue, as well as a persuasive argument against the alternative that I believe will result in the least attractive or responsible end.

The pesticide levels in India’s products meant they could match neither American nor European standards. The NGO encouraged India’s government to establish legally enforceable water laws based on the findings. Various national media broadcasted the information, and many people in India got the news about the report resulting in an immediate impact on the company’s profits (Surendranath, 2020). Coca-Cola has been accused of promoting pesticide-laden beverages, extracting large volumes of groundwater that denied some Kerala residents access to water, and contaminating water supplies.
The Indian government launched many investigations into the allegations that Coca-Cola goods contained considerable pesticide residues. To conduct its beverage tests, the government organized a Joint Committee. The government findings were the same as that of the initial research conducted earlier by an NGO. The drinks were found to have high levels of pesticides mainly because of the groundwater used during the production. However, the local authorities supported Coca-Cola by admitting the level was not yet regulated by any laws, and hence the company had not broken any laws (Ciafone, 2019). Many people though...
