Value of humanities.
Nicholas Kristof and Jaweed Kaleem argument towards humanity and its value highlights reasons as to why I consider humanities of non-importance. This is because humanities are based on a traditional approach. According to Kristof, B. (2014), humanities are of less stature and people interested in it have highly reduced as it is indicated by graduate records in many campuses. This has created debates about the role of humanities in many countries around the earth. 21st century’s education is moving along with advancement in technology which is highly against humanity programs in our campuses.
In addition, some context learned in humanity lessons are poorly defined because they are from a long time in history. It is evident that we can only have relevant knowledge to our daily lives if we consciously draw connections among different genres of experience, knowledge and existence.
