Before starting on this assignment make sure to go through the background materials carefully and go through the main textbook readings. Also, reflect carefully upon your Module 1-3 Case Assignments and think about some major areas that you would like to improve upon for your own leadership development based on the self-assessments you have done so far in this class.
Once you have reviewed the background materials and gained a solid understanding about the main steps and challenges of action learning, write a 4- to 5-page paper addressing the following questions:
Since this is your last Case Assignment for the class, start out this assignment by reflecting on what you have found in your Module 1-3 Case Assignments. Based on your prior assignments and what you have learned so far, what do you think are some of the main areas you and/or some of the coworkers that you have written about should try to improve upon?
Now turn to Chapter 1 of Pedler and Abbot (2013) and pages 41-42 of Passmore (2011) where the potential benefits of action learning is discussed. Based on your answer to Question 1 above and from these two readings, what would you hope to improve upon using an action learning program? Do you think action learning would help you improve in these areas? Explain your reasoning both with respect to the readings and the areas for improvement in your leadership that you have identified so far in this class.
Go to the “Organizational Readiness for Action Learning” quiz on pages 43-44 of Pedler and Abbot (2013). Fill it out and report your results. Overall what does the quiz say about your organization’s readiness to engage in an action learning program? Do you agree with the results? What kind of challenges do you think you would face in setting up an action learning program at your organization?
Finally, take a look at pages 37-38 of Passmore (2011) and Chapter 8 of Marquardt (2004), which give step-by-step guidelines on setting up an action learning program. Based on your answers to Questions 1-3, how would you design an action learning program in your workplace? Include in your answer what kind of problem your set would work on, who you would include in your set, how often you think the group should meet, and other relevant steps outlined in the required readings. Explain the reasoning for your choices and what kind of outcomes you would hope to get out of this experience.

The leading concerns among my team members are the shortage of leadership qualities and the management of talents. Most of the workers lack adequate knowledge on various tasks, leading to slow growth and development of the business unit. Although the organization has sufficient capital to facilitate all process required for success, the employees do not know the utilization of resources towards the positive output. While working in pace with improved technology should yield benefits, insufficient intelligence in the team hinders improvement. Lack of the desired skills affects the operations of the business unit negatively resulting in undesired outputs. The past investments meant on mere training in the past have not aided in the development process of the company as the employees have not embraced the implemented processes CITATION Kri10 \l 1033 (Kristiansen, 2010). The appreciation lacking in the team is disappointing and as a leader choosing another method may yield improvements in the leadership patterns used in the company. I think that organization has laid focus in the wrong things and implementing action learning will improve the leadership patterns and enhance the realization of talents.
Action learning facilitates pieces of training based on the development of skills in project mentoring for individual and group coaching. The project groups consist of 4-7 members and a facilitator, each assigned to certain problem or challenge in the company. In this case, the members create a project towards solving the issue in the action learning groups. The facilitator ensures that individuals handling the project have sufficient to support the achievement of goals and objectives. The individuals and groups gain and maximize the new levels of knowledge and intelligence resulting in various benefits. According to Peddler and Abbot (2013), individual groups are bound to increase effectiveness and profitability in the business. The facilitation of knowledge and skills gained in the project learning process results in better timekeeping skills that lead to efficiency in business operations. The effectiveness implemented enhances high-quality production, leading to attraction and maintenance of loyal customers. Consistent demand for produced goods and services yields high profits to the business. Action learning promotes adaptability and resilience. Solving a problem has never been easy and as the process gets tougher, the group members come up with the desired solutions towards a better route. In this case, the ideas enhance continuity in the face of problems as the individuals are used to solving various issues.
The project process in action learning improves problem-solving skills and the capacity of leadership exhibited by the members. Sustaining the different ideas given by various group members in solving the available challenge leads to persistence and patience in the field of business (Peddler &Abbot, 2013). Hence, the individuals gain skills and knowledge on how to solve various problems arising in the workplaces.
