Introduction
The nursing field has been changed from the last decade. With the addition of novel technologies in the nursing and evolution of leadership positions, there are various changes in the field of nursing occurred. In the state’s healthcare workforce, the profession of nursing is the largest part. In the present study, the changes in the nursing practice along with the scope of nursing have been discussed. The methodology to treat the patients has been explained.
Evolution in Nursing Practice
The field of nursing has been progressed over the past 150 years. In the past, the nurses were only females and they had to wear white uniforms with heeled shoes. Nurses used to check the temperature with thermometers and they had to make notes regarding the patient’s condition. Currently, there is no gender-biased in nursing. The male and female nursing staff allowed putting on comfortable shoes. Temporal thermometers are used that give a quick reading by swiping it on the forehead of the patient. The nurses have become the backbone of healthcare area.
Change in Nursing Practice, its Scope, and Individual's Treatment
In the past, the nursing profession was not taken as a serious job. There was no specific training program for nurses and they used to learn skills from women who were in the same profession. The nursing profession was not considered worthy in the past. Above all, patient care is a major element and nurses have saved numerous lives by taking care of patients who are in critical condition.
The scope of nursing is quite broad. The nursing field has a direct effect on the health and comfort of people. They are capable to work in various settings such as nursing homes, community settings, hospitals, and clinics. Nursed can expand their expertise into various practice fields such as mental health, emergency department, or women’s health. The process of learning never ends in this field.
