In episode three of the series 'War and Peace,' there is a different angle from the story of the war based on how the soldiers coped at home. The longing for love for women and the role the society plays in marriage is mixed in the drama. There are serial reactions that show similarity in how the notion of love is perceived. Love shifts between partners, and families try to control who their daughters get engaged to. Piere loses his wife Helena after he found her cheating, and he feels that his life lacks purpose.
