Perception involves analysis and processing the information received through the senses. Experiences allow people to learn from occurrences and form reality of occurrences in the surroundings (Rosenblum, 2013). The level of sensory perception for all senses develops with age and maturity and thus reaches the highest capacity in the teenage years and in the twenties. This is because sensory perception is mainly sharpened through years of training the sensory cells, experience as well as through development of memory (Society for Nueroscience, 2003). The different senses affect the sense of sight in various ways. The hearing, touch, smell, taste senses for instance provoke one to use their sense for sight to confirm the objects that elicit different sounds, feelings on the skin, scents in the nose and taste on the tongue respectively. These senses provide cues to the eyes to seek more information about the surrounding. The eyes in such circumstances serve to verify how accurate the other senses are. The sense of sight confirms information produced by other senses such as smells and affects how people perceive scents. This is because sights avails additional information that assists the perception of certain smells.
