Despite the numerous choices out there with regards to which piece of technology you should buy, a lot of consumers are having a hard time deciding which specific piece of equipment to buy, due to numerous factors. Perhaps, one of the greatest dilemma today is choosing between a Laptop and a Tablet as a portable device for one’s day-to-day functions. In any case, making a decision could lead to a greater cost for consumers, especially those who ends up buying both because of the failure to anticipate what they need more. Although, there are devices now which offers both functions – aka 2-in-1/hybrid laptops (e.g. Microsoft Surface Pro) – his article would mainly focus on either “laptops or tablets” and not specifically the hybrid types.
Factors to consider when choosing between laptops and tablets
Lifestyle
The most important factor to consider when choosing which one is best for you is your lifestyle. This refers to your particular needs, hobbies, and interest that would require the use of such devices. For example, if you are mostly the “business type” who does a lot of accounting and book keeping, then a laptop would suit for your needs. On the other hand, if you’re mostly into browsing emails, travelling, and other stuffs that are mostly for recreational purposes, then a tablet would be much better for you. In line with this, considering your lifestyle needs also means considering the portability of your device and its input method.
