The anonymous OP-ED writer’s story is quite similar to Kaepernick’s and his fight for awareness of police brutality. Both of them saw a problem and in their different ways decided to fight back. Kaepernick’s story is widely known and the new Nike ad revived a conversation that will continue to infinity. Well, back to the anonymous OP-ED writer. Having seen and been a part of Trump’s administration, the writer has had enough and, in the essay, he/she says it all. Like Kaepernick’s story, the anonymous OP-ED writer’s intention and motive are not malicious but are for the greater good. He/she explains that they do “want the administration to succeed,” but their goal is to weed out and to fight against any and all actions of the president that are not indicative of the true American values.
