According to Horkheimer and Ardono (2005), today’s cultural chaos can be described using the sociological theory that explains the establishment of religion, the dissolution of pre-colonialism, and the technological and social differentiation. He explains that there should be planning for every new system, even those that replace old ones. Then, what is the consequence of culture industry in the law of movement in emerging technology considering their unfamiliar effects of new inventions in future economies? Also, since mechanically differentiated products prove to be all alike in the end, is it possible to tell the formalized procedure for future technologies that will replace professionals in various industries?
Peer question: How do we know what needs and desires are manufactured by the mass media, and which are true and genuine? How long will it be before the culture industry slowly forces the entire public to conform to some impossible and unachievable ideal, or will the social structure as we know it now change, allowing another group to attain more hegemonic power?
