The shoulder press is a crucial exercise necessary for Tom since it focuses on the upper part of the body. It is essential to strengthen the upper back and the shoulder, ensuring effective coordination of other muscles responsible for knee abduction and external rotation (McKean & Burkett, 2015). Regardless of the lower part of the body linked to Tom's condition, the upper joint is also necessary to promote muscle alignment, such as anterior deltoid. Therefore, it is justifiable that the upper body multi-joint should be considered in Tom's case to allow him to restore his condition.
