The Class that I Would Like to Teach
 The class that I would like to teach someday is elderly care and caring for the disabled. The number of people that are becoming old is increasing each year. The individuals in the elderly home are many, and they need people to take care f their needs. It is essential to have medical professionals understand these people's needs and offer quality care (Lee et al., 2020). There is also a large population of people that are disabled in the country. It is critical to have medical professions that can assist the people that are disabled. I believe that the class will be interesting to the students that I will be teaching and me. It will also be an opportunity to learn the various dimensions and challenges facing the elderly and people with disabilities.
The Institution That Is Sponsoring the Class
The organization that is sponsoring the class is a nursing home, Eastport Memorial Nursing Home. The philosophy of the organization sponsoring the class is that people of all ages and the disabled should get quality care. The practitioners must ensure that the people who are disabled and elderly can reach their full potential through comprehensive and quality care. The individuals that are disabled should not be made to feel like they are lesser than the rest of the population. Many achievements have been made by people who are disabled. The only thing that they got was support and equal opportunity. The people that are aging should also be able to enjoy life. The ability to have top qualified personnel helping the disabled and the elderly is the main philosophy of the hospital sponsoring the class.
The Need for the Class
 There are several reasons why I choose this type of class to teach. One of the reasons I selected this class is the rise in the number of aging people. The population of baby boomers is increasing each year. It will be essential to understand how to help aging people live healthier and more fulfilling (Misra et al., 2020). By teaching this class, I will have an opportunity to research what the government and the private sector can do to improve the lives of people who are aging. The other reason for choosing this class is that there are many disabled people in the country. Such people need care and support from the community. By having a group of people educated on how to deal with the disabled, I will have played my role in improving their lives.
Description of the Class
The class will be made up of both male and female students. The majority of the people that will be taking the class, I believe, will be people who have some nursing background. However, the people that do not have any background in nursing will also be welcomed in the class. Because of the need for people to take care of the elderly and the disabled, the class will be comprised of people from all backgrounds and racial diversity.
