The effects of elimination complexities can be felt it great extent by the family and the patient who has been diagnosed with a certain disease. Some of these effects include social effects, psychological effects, financial effects, lack of control and helplessness, disruption of school and work and disruption of leisure time.
Lack of control and helplessness- This may be characterized from many signs that may be displayed from the patient and the family .This indications include, anger, loss, frustration and guilt. This lack of control and helplessness may differ from one patient to the other depending on the extent and severity of the disease (Mellentin & Heasman, 2014). In some cases it may be so severe to the extent that the patient losses hope in his health.
Financial impact- The cost of caring for the patient usually is high especially in certain chronic conditions of the patient. The finance is needed in areas of meeting costs of hiring the care taker, provision of transport to the healthy facility and general treatment.
Social impact-This is a case where the patient and the family members feel so different from other people .This may bring about the patient and family having stressed and depression. The patient and family always feel disrupted and stigmatized.
Family relationship impact- According to (Bostock & Steptoe,2012), this is a case where there arises the negative effects in relationships as a result of the patient. The relationship between the patient, family members and other relatives may break because of the arguments, tension and lack of understanding. Relationship of families may also break because of lack of time for each other.
