A nurse informaticist plays a crucial role in systems development and implementation. Nursing informatics entails working with hardware and software in the healthcare sector to analyze and improve service delivery, which might involve testing new information systems or applications, such as electronic health records and communication tools. In particular, a nurse informaticist develops information and communication technologies in the medical sector. The paper focuses on the role of including a nurse informaticist in systems development and implementation.
The involvement of the right stakeholders highly determines the effectiveness of implementing a nursing documentation system during the development and implementation.
