Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive human disorder that affects the brain cell. The disorder causes brain cells to degenerate and die. The long time mystery on this disorder has been described as a patient suffering from dementia. Following this description, the field of AD in the department of health in America has grown exponentially. Having proved as the main cause of dementia to mature adults which have continued decline in thinking it has costed the behavioral and social skills of many old American citizens by disrupting their ability to function independently. AD is described therefore as a kind of dementia that causes problems with human memory and normal behavior. The symptoms in this syndrome develop slowly whereas the patients get old the symptoms become severe and end up interfering with daily tasks. According to recent research, the diseases are mainly caused by brain cell death which takes brace slowly from the time of the attack and takes time to display severe symptoms.AD has been a major concern in the united states forcing the severely affected paper to live under a very handful life. This paper, therefore, aims in developing various interventions on the most appropriate measures to curb the diseases and how to care for those who are suffering on the same.
The latest reports on the AD statistics on prevalence indicates a tremendous growth in the number of patients suffering from the disorder, one in a group of five makes a move to be diagnosed. Global estimates to people living with this disorder give an approximate of forty-four million people. United States of America today registers over five and half million people of all ages who are suffering from the disorder. The high number of the patients in America makes the department of health and research centers to develop strategic ideals on the best way to cease the spread of the disease and also to develop control measures to the people who ate already affected (Parvin, et al 2017). Among the 5.5 million patients in America, the reports indicate that 5.3 million people lie in the mage of 65 years old, and the remaining percentage which is 200,000 patients is classified to the group of the young people or those who are below 65 years with characteristics of early-onset on the syndrome.
American women take a bigger percentage of about 75% of the affected people compared to men who take only 25% of the infection. Around 3.3 million American women whose ages lie between 65 and above suffer from Alzheimer’s syndrome while 2 million men represent the male side who also rages between 65 years and above (Morello et al., 2017). This figure on the people suffering from AD syndrome clearly shows that mature adults are the most prone to the diseases in America and even the other parts of the world. Globally, Europe leads in the number of infected patients followed by North America while sub-Saharan Africa.
