Community health nurses (CHNs) have a significant role in improving community members' health by preventing the propagation of communicable diseases and increasing health awareness about non-communicable but preventable diseases, especially in high-risk populations (Marucs-Varwijk et al., 2020; McConnell et al., 2017). More importantly, they, together with the physicians and allied medical field, also play a large role in information dissemination. This is because many people, especially those who live in low- to middle-income communities, have limited access to health information and services. Currently, a study revealed that CHNs could educate community members in-person and through telehealth. The latter became a critical aspect of medicine because it enhances efficiency, time management, and the excellent use of money and resources. Furthermore, telehealth helps deliver services through proper instructions and follow-up (McConnell et al., 2017).
Significance of Community Resources Appraisal
Achieving an excellent and sustainable community health system needs a proper assessment of health (SDH) social determinants because these outline the community members' general health. SDH focus on people’s work and living conditions, age, gender, and others.
